PROJECT DATA
- The new Domenici Center serves the School of Medicine, College
of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and Diagnostic and Therapeutic
programs as well as provide services to the Law School.
- The 46,550-square-foot center houses electronically enhanced
classrooms, a 300-seat auditorium, the Medical/Legal Bookstore, a
food service and dining area and a Learning Center.
- Integrated into this first phase is a new underground access
tunnel that connects the existing tunnel system to the south with
the future research building that will be constructed to the west
of the new building.
- The building houses various displays as part of the Health
Sciences Center's "Museum of Discovery."
- The building is cast-in-place concrete foundations and
retaining walls for the basement level while above ground the
structure is steel braced-frame with composite concrete floor
slabs.
- The exterior materials are stucco, stone veneer, composite
metal panels, curtainwall and storefront systems.
