PROJECT DATA
- Established in 1890 as a federal, off-reservation boarding
school, this 104-acre campus is home to approximately 550 Native
American students from the 19 Pueblos and 25 other tribes in grades
seven through twelve.
- The three phase project encompassed 350,000 square feet.
- Phase One, a new Math, Science and Technology Building, is the
first project in the campus rejuvenation.
- Phase Two includes a new middle school, high school, male and
female dormitories, a student life center, an administration
building, maintenance and operations buildings and sports
fields.
- Phase Three is the Santa Fe Indian School Wellness Center,
which includes a gymnasium and events center.
- Cultural enhancements were incorporated throughout the campus,
including the use of battered studs and foam on exterior walls to
simulate a pueblo structure and hand applied stucco finish to
replicate an adobe look.
