Guided by our Ethos

Our Ethos gives us unity, provides clarity and is a source of strength.

We conceived and wrote our Ethos during our first team building retreat with the retired Navy SEALs of Acumen Performance Group (APG) in 2013, following the acquisition of Flintco by Alberici. At that time, there were a lot of questions about where the company was going and what we stood for as an organization. APG suggested we write an Ethos to help us recalibrate our mission. The final document came together relatively quickly – a testament to the intention and the clarity of our Ethos, which continues to resonate today.

OUR ETHOS

Honor and Respect

I will honor and respect the Flintco heritage. I will not let my past successes lead me to believe what we did yesterday is good enough for tomorrow. Complacency is not part of our culture.

Committed to Success

I am committed to the success of my company, my teammates and myself. I am humble.

Results Driven

I am results driven and believe if we are not winning, we are losing. I will undertake all of my responsibilities with the utmost honesty and integrity. I will approach every task with passion, responsibility, creativity and innovation. I will succeed.

Mediocrity is Unacceptable

I believe that mediocrity is unacceptable and my training is never done - there is no finish line. I encourage a flexible approach to accomplishing milestones but I am inflexible in my execution. Safety and quality are paramount.

Positively Contribute

I will positively contribute to our culture and community. I expect leadership at every level. I am in control of my environment because I own my actions. I am accountable.

Earned Every Day

I believe it is a privilege to be a member of the Flintco community. This honor must be earned every day.

I am Flintco

The annual APG experience for 72 Flintco employees over 2½ days is a test of physical endurance, the ability to work as a team and a thought-provoking classroom curriculum. At Flintco, we talk often of creating “leaders at every level,” which is what the APG experience helps foster.
