Sustainable Construction

Taking a “Wholistic” Approach

We focus on a “whole-building” approach by providing owners with the knowledge and skills to guide the team through the rigorous building certification process that covers six key areas:

  1. Sustainable Site Development
  2. Water Savings
  3. Energy Efficiency
  4. Materials Selection
  5. Indoor Environmental Quality
  6. Construction Waste Diversion

By being on the cutting edge of new technologies, processes, materials and methods, we are able to deliver economically, socially and environmentally-responsible facilities.

Whether you want a LEED certified building, have a project that simply includes “green” elements, or just want to divert construction waste from landfills, we are your partner in sustainable building practices. Flintco's construction experts guide you through planning, construction and the certification process. Additionally, each of our Preconstruction Managers are – at a minimum – LEED Green Advantage certified and can assist in providing environmentally friendly and cost effective solutions to include in your project.

Our commitment to environmentally sound construction starts at a corporate level and extends all the way to how we handle construction waste. By and large, construction is the leading contributor to landfills. Through a concerted effort to reduce construction waste entering landfills, we are proud to say that the majority of our current projects achieve 75% construction waste diversion, while several have been able to achieve a staggering 95% diversion rate. Less construction waste in landfills is not only better for the environment, it is better for the community.

When you select Flintco as your construction partner, you can rest assured that your building will be constructed in the most environmentally responsible way possible.
