John Waltz brings more than 30 years of construction experience to his role as Vice President Area Manager of our Houston office. During his career, John has worked his way through the ranks of large regional and national construction companies. He brings a “start-up” mentality to his role with Flintco: operations excellence, finding and retaining top talent, business acquisition and marketing. Since joining Flintco in September 2018, John has overseen a 75% increase in Flintco staff – a number that keeps growing.
John has worked in Houston most of his career and is well known and respected by owners, architects and trade partners. His strong industry relationships are driving our growing Houston presence. His personal resume includes many Houston landmark projects including the Marriott Marquis and the Energy Center campus. John believes that “success is mutual,” which translates for him into helping young people get into construction, learn the business, and perpetuate the industry. John is a lifelong Houstonian and enjoys spending time at his “ranchito” in the Texas Hill Country with his wife and their extended family.
In 1985, John began his Construction career in Houston as an assistant superintendent after graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston and holds the LEED AP certification.
