Brett Venable

Vicepresidente, Gerente de Área / Tulsa

Brett Venable brings a servant leadership approach and hands-on mentality to his role as Vice President and Area Manager of Flintco’s Tulsa office, with over 30 years of experience in construction. He thrives on building strong relationships with clients and providing guidance and support to teams across all markets.

Brett’s construction foundation was formed in high school, working summers in construction while learning a trade through Oklahoma’s CareerTech program. His dedication earned him the 1996 VICA National Carpentry contest championship, providing a scholarship to complete his degree at Oklahoma State University, Okmulgee, where he continued working in the construction industry, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Brett has built his reputation through long-term client relationships, particularly in higher education, healthcare, and career technical education. Since joining Flintco, he has been involved in numerous education construction projects totaling more than $280 million. Notable projects include multiple facilities for Oklahoma State University’s Center for Health Sciences campus and Tulsa Technology Center.

While most of Brett’s projects have been in project management, he gained valuable field experience as a project superintendent, overseeing multi-million-dollar projects in the field. This cross-functional understanding of both project management and field operations shaped his leadership philosophy of leading from the front and serving alongside his team.

“I believe leadership is an opportunity to serve other people,” Brett said. “My goal every day is to show up and make a positive impact on people around me.” Brett was recognized in 2015 with both the AGC Project Manager of the Year award and the Friends of Trade and Industrial Education award from the Oklahoma Department of CareerTech Trade and Industrial Education.

Brett currently serves on Hospitality House of Tulsa’s board as the Vice President and is the incoming President. He and his wife live in the Tulsa area with three grown children, including a son who works as an assistant superintendent at Flintco. In his spare time, Brett pursues competitive taxidermy, specializing in whitetail deer.

Brett holds certifications including AGC Master Carpenter, LEED Green Advantage, OSHA 10- and 30-hour, Certified Construction Document Technologist, and Certified Construction Contract Administrator.
