Chad Hunter

General Manager / San Antonio

Chad Hunter leads by example and brings a solution-focused mindset to his role as General Manager of Flintco’s San Antonio office. As one of the founding employees who helped establish and grow the operation, he draws on his construction experience to oversee all aspects of the business – from client relationships and business development to project delivery.

Chad’s philosophy centers on his “three-legged stool” for project success: the right team, the right client, and the right project. He believes that no problem is unsolvable when approached with solutions and honest communication. “We do what we say we’re going to do,” Chad says, reflecting the core values that guide his approach to building strong relationships with teams and clients.

Notable projects in Chad’s portfolio include St. Philip’s College Turbon Student Center, a complex heavy renovation and demolition with an addition featuring student spaces and a bowling alley, and the City of San Marcos Public Service Complex, delivered through a fast-paced P3 delivery method.

In 2024, Chad was recognized as one of Building Design + Construction’s 40 Under 40 industry leaders and received an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriotic Employer award. He takes pride in mentoring the next generation, believing that developing people is essential to success. “Early in my career, people saw potential in me and took the time to mentor me,” Chad said. “Now, I strive to pay that forward – whether it’s guiding the younger members of my team or engaging with the community.” Chad is actively involved in workforce development through ACE mentoring programs and leads regular volunteer efforts with his San Antonio team.

Community engagement is also central to Chad. He organizes volunteer efforts, encourages regular team participation in local causes, and enjoys coaching his children’s youth soccer teams – a role he admits can be both enjoyable and challenging.

Chad and his wife, whom he met during their freshman year of college, have two young children. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Chad spends weekends at the coast and recently celebrated his daughter’s first-place finish in the Babes on the Bay fishing tournament with a 28-inch redfish. He’s a proud Texas A&M Aggie who enjoys football and travel, and has his sights set on catching a roosterfish in Cabo.
