Flintco Completes Upgrades to Monument Fire District Stations, Enhancing Community Safety and Firefighter Well-being

Monument, CO –

Flintco is proud to announce the successful completion of major upgrades to Fire Stations 4 and 5 of the Monument Fire District. These projects underscore Flintco’s commitment to enhancing community infrastructure and supporting first responders.

The upgrades, initiated following the 2022 merger that formed the Monument Fire District, addressed the growing needs of the community and the welfare of firefighters. Flintco’s team worked closely with OZ Architecture, NV5, and fire district officials to deliver modern, efficient spaces that prioritize comfort and functionality.

J.W. Stamison, Vice President and Area Manager, stated, “Our partnership with the Monument Fire District exemplifies Flintco’s dedication to transparent communication and collaborative problem-solving. We’re honored to contribute to the safety and well-being of both the firefighters and the Monument community.”

Key features of the upgrades include:

  • Fire Station 4: Addition of five individual sleep rooms, four bathrooms (including an ADA-compliant facility), and a high-end kitchen renovation featuring individual refrigerators for each shift. This upgrade in the kitchen aimed to foster a closer family experience, as firefighters spend significant time there, akin to most families.
  • Fire Station 5: Completed transformation of an open-concept sleep area into seven individual rooms, each equipped with lockers, workspaces, and individual climate control systems.

These improvements directly enhance the fire district’s ability to serve the community by ensuring firefighters have a comfortable, private space for rest and preparation between calls.

This project reinforces Flintco’s position as a trusted partner for public safety construction projects. By delivering high-quality renovations that enhance operational efficiency and staff well-being, Flintco continues to demonstrate its commitment to building stronger, safer communities.
