Corporate Giving Partner: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Flintco celebrated a very special milestone on May 15, 2019: together with our employees we raised $500,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital well ahead of the 2020 date we set to reach our fundraising goal.
Our relationship with this incredible organization began in 1992. In 2016, Flintco joined St. Jude as an official corporate giving partner, and committed to our 2020 fundraising goal. Each of our offices continue to contribute their time and resources through creative fundraisers and participation in St. Jude sponsored events. Many Flintco employees also support St. Jude through our payroll deduction program. Flintco employees and trade partners are inspired by St. Jude and its mission to find a cure for pediatric catastrophic diseases.

A Level Up
A Level Up (ALU) helps individuals identify their mission for life and focus on their personal path to find meaning and purpose in life. When Flintco partnered with ALU in late 2018, local employees and our trade partners raised $11,000 in two weeks in support of one of their programs – The Great Gift Exchange, which helps disadvantaged children who may not experience the joy of receiving during the holiday season.
In 2015, the Flintco Open — our annual golf tournament held in Austin — was created to raise funds to support area students pursuing careers in construction. The event raises nearly $50,000 each year through the generous support of trade partner sponsorships. We are proud to provide resources to support students and the future of our industry.
Acres Homes Community
The Office of the Mayor approached one of our teammates on a jobsite at the Acres Homes community about a resident there who was wheelchair-bound and needed an ADA ramp to access her home. Flintco teamed up with our Houston-area trade partners to build a porch and ADA ramp — but they didn’t stop there. They removed an old awning from the front porch, constructed steps off the back of the home where none existed, installed a wider front door, replaced siding and caulked, and painted the house and trim totaling approximately $10,000.
Porter-Leath is a nonprofit organization that has served local children and their families for more than 160 years. Flintco is a long-time supporter, hosting an annual golf tournament and the Toy Truck holiday fundraiser. Flintco helps Porter-Leath ensure that nearly 6,000 low-income children ages 5 and under receive a new toy for Christmas.
Uniting Native Minds Golf Tournament
The Uniting Native Minds Golf Tournament was established in 2007. The event expands a scholarship endowment earmarked to support academic opportunities for students in the University of New Mexico American Indian Summer Bridge (AISB) Program. The extensive five-week residential program immerses students in the rigors of academic life and teaches the relationship between persistence and success. To date, nearly 390 American Indian students representing 14 states and 51 distinct tribal nations have been served through the AISB Program with a 96% completion rate.
Support for our community
Our team in Oklahoma City consistently partners with numerous deserving organizations with both direct financial assistance and volunteer manhours throughout the year to make a difference in our local community. In 2019, Flintco raised $75,000 benefitting the Mercy Health Foundation from our annual Flintco Open golf tournament with the support from our trade partner community. A group of dedicated Flintco volunteers (pictured here) led a team from Habitat for Humanity in the framing and exterior finish of a house in north Oklahoma City. Flintco also donated 1,000 bleed kits in 2019 to the Putnam City School District in OKC in response to school security concerns. In addition to supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as our corporate giving partner ($500,000 raised to date), our OKC office also supports Integris Cancer Foundation, United Way of Central Oklahoma and Norman Regional Hospital Foundation, among others.
Since 2017, employees from our Tulsa office have volunteered once a month to serve food alongside Iron Gate, a soup kitchen and grocery pantry that provides more than just a meal. The safe, welcoming environment helps families “get out of the storm” for a couple of hours. Flintco also supports other Iron Gate annual events, including Founders Dinner and Cooking for a Cause.
