Construction Manager

Construction Manager Charles Root has delivered more than 1,000MW of renewable energy since joining the sustainable energy sector in 2008. He has more than 30 years in the Construction industry. His experience includes infrastructure and environmental projects for both public and private sector clients with expertise in electrical start-up through commissioning for both underground and surface projects.

His career includes extensive work throughout California, mostly with Helix Electric, helping build the state prison system, stadiums, water treatment plants, mid-rise and high-rise Commercial and parking structures.  “I love the energy in this group,” Charles said about Flintco. “I’m excited to be a part of something so positive.”

Charles was born and raised in San Diego and studied electrical construction there at Mesa College during a 4-year apprenticeship. Growing up, he worked with his dad and uncles in construction, which led to his career in the electrical trade.  Charles and his wife have five children, and seven grandchildren. Family is very important to him.  His favorite past times include hiking and mountain biking – anything that involves the outdoors – and watching rodeo, NASCAR, football and baseball.
