Steve grew up on a farm and started working for his family’s construction company at a young age. Steve studied marketing and business at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, health and safety at Texas A&M, and graduate work in business at Brigham Young University. In 2009, Steve joined Flintco with over 30 years of construction experience and a background in carpentry, which he has applied in various roles in different areas of the country during his tenure. As a direct result of his leadership in safety, the Flintco Texas and Oklahoma Divisions have won numerous Safety Through Exemplary Performance (STEP) Silver and Gold awards. Flintco has also been recognized with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Safety Through Exemplary Performance Diamond Level award.

Steve and his wife Jennifer have six children, four grandchildren, and one awesome golden retriever. They live in between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, on many acres of secluded land. Steve’s passions consist of his faith, family, and fishing. He is devout in his faith as a member of the clergy and has a desire to serve others and to help people become self-reliant. Family is of the utmost importance to Steve, and he enjoys investing his time with them. He is also an avid bass and crappie angler who not only fishes for fun but also fishes competitively in tournaments. Steve enjoys taking on new and challenging adventures to improve himself so he can better serve others and is always striving to be a better version of himself.

Steve will serve as the Safety Lead on the Mucyabahinja bridge. Having built several bridges, he knows what safety measures must be in place. Steve puts safety at the forefront of achieving the goal and supports all team members to bring out their very best in all situations. He believes that serving others is one of his purposes in this life and loves being part of something far bigger than himself. Steve is looking forward to attaining more humility in serving, building new relationships, and strengthening existing ones.
