Saint Benedict Addition

Phase 1 of this project includes building a two story educational building with sixteen classrooms for children and a large classroom for adult education, all being attached to McGuire Hall. Expanded youth facilities and storage space will also be included in Phase 1. It also includes enlarging McGuire Hall north, with a divider, when opened it will increase the hall’s capacity to more than 550 people. The new space would also be used for youth activities. Crews also added an entrance to the worship space on the east side of the building for the elderly and handicapped. This area features closer parking and a shorter distance into the worship space. The choir room and kitchen area were also doubled in space and capacity. A new playground with safer access from the preschool is also a new feature. Phase 1 also includes additional parking on the north and east sides of the building along with an additional entrance from Aspen along the north side of the property. The project also includes a storm shelter area but it is not FEMA-rated.
