The University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Medicine Interdisciplinary Building Groundbreaking
Oct 15 2026

As the need for health care professionals grows, the spaces where they learn need to grow too.
#FlintcoMemphis partnered with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences, brg3s and HOK to break ground on the new College of Medicine Interdisciplinary Building. A momentous investment in the future of health care education, it is the largest state-funded higher education facility in Tennessee history.
Designed to advance new approaches to medical education, the facility will provide modern, technology-rich spaces for interdisciplinary learning and support UTHS’s plans to grow its MD program from 175 to 225 students annually and its Physician Assistant program from 30 to 60 students per cohort.
We’re proud to continue our partnership with UTHS on a visionary facility that will expand opportunities for students and help prepare more health care professionals to serve communities across Tennessee.
