City of Edmond Opens New City Center Complex to Better Serve the Community

Edmond, OKFlintco joined City of Edmond officials and REES Associates to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the City’s new City Center Complex that will serve the community for generations.

The complex features a 60,000-square-foot City Hall, a 14,000-square-foot Municipal Court building, and a 216-space parking garage that accommodates both public and staff needs. The new City Hall consolidates city services previously spread across four separate buildings into a single, centralized location. This consolidation streamlines access to services such as permits, licenses, and utility payments, providing residents with a true one-stop shop.

A key highlight of the facility is the expanded council chamber, which is now three times larger than before and features flexible seating to better accommodate public meetings. Designed with the community in mind, the building features a grand entrance with intricate woodwork, terrazzo floors, and a sweeping staircase adorned with a glass handrail system.

“Flintco is proud to deliver a facility that makes city government more accessible, efficient, and welcoming for the people of Edmond,” said Kirk Mammen, Vice President/Area Manager. “With all departments under one roof, residents will benefit from improved service and convenience.”

The new 216-space parking garage also addresses a long-standing challenge, ensuring ample, easy-to-access parking for residents conducting city business. Overall, the City Center Complex enhances operational efficiency, reduces wait times, and creates a more inclusive experience for all residents engaging with their local government.
