Flintco Role: Project Engineer

Role at Bridge Site: Support Member

Julian was born in Bogota, Colombia where he lived until he was eight years old. He grew up bilingual, speaking Spanish with his father (Columbian), and French which was his mother’s native language. His family relocated to Canada for three years before residing in Texas. Julian attended a University in London for one year before transferring to the University of Texas at Arlington, where he studied Civil Engineering. In 2019, Julian joined Flintco’s Houston team as an office engineer, completing pivotal projects including the San Jacinto Longenecker Renovation, the University of Houston Parking Garage, and the Huntsville Police and Fire Station. He is currently working on the Humble Middle School 10 project.

In his free time, Julian likes to play and watch soccer (his favorite team is Chelsea FC along with the French and Colombia national teams), traveling to explore new places and cultures, spending time with his dogs, riding his motorcycle, and enjoying the company of friends and family while staying active physically and mentally.

Julian values the opportunity that being on the bridge build team brings – the ability to give back and be part of a solution that will change a whole community’s quality of life. His multicultural background, construction knowledge and experience, teamwork mentality, and determination will contribute hugely to the success of the project. His infectious positive attitude and humor will bring encouragement to the team.
