Rob Marchetti
Market Leader
Market Leader Rob Marchetti’s work in Construction and Energy spans more than 25 years. He saw the potential of renewable energy in the “mid-aughts” and hasn’t looked back. Rob is a licensed Journeyman electrician and has led Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) teams while completing one of the largest solar plants in Texas safely and on schedule.
In 2008, Rob started a renewable energy division with the energy infrastructure company Quanta, which had the largest total MW of completed or contracted projects of any EPC nationwide. He co-founded Northern Energy and Power, completing 350MW of solar projects before the company was acquired by a publicly traded Fortune 500 company, Primoris Services Corporation, which delivers critical infrastructure services to the utility and energy markets. At Primoris, Rob successfully negotiated a $177 million solar project, one of the largest in North America. After a few years of energy-related consulting work in Japan and personal travel, he worked for an independent power producer in Boulder, CO, where he diversified his understanding of financing and development for the Energy sector. Rob credits his success largely to the “people I’ve worked with, which are the most important aspect of my career,” he said. Rob values mentorship, helping those around him grow personally and professionally, and looks forward to building a sustainable renewables division at Flintco.
Rob was born in New York and grew up in South Florida. He attended Florida State University, where he played football and studied economics and finance. His father and grandfather were union electricians in New York.
He worked with them during the summers where he learned the electrical trade. After graduating college, he started an electrical contracting business. Between them, Rob and his wife have seven adult children. They are active outdoors, enjoy cooking together and volunteering at their church. They split time between their homes in Monument, CO, and Key West, FL.
