Chris Moyes
Vicepresidente, Gerente de Área / Austin
Chris Moyes has built his career on a simple philosophy: successful projects start with strong teams, and strong teams need leaders who are willing to work alongside them. As Vice President and Area Manager of Flintco’s Austin office, he oversees all aspects of the operation while staying true to his hands-on leadership style. “I like to be in the trenches with my team,” Chris said. “My approach is to lead by example, making sure everyone has a voice and a role in the process.”
A Texas Tech graduate with a degree in finance, Chris joined Flintco in 2008 and has since held nearly every operational role, from office engineer to project director, before stepping into his current leadership position. His career spans higher education, healthcare, and residential markets, including work on a children’s hospital in St. Louis, multiple projects for Texas State and Austin Community College, and high-rise residential towers in downtown Austin.
Two projects remain career highlights. The transformation of the old Highland Mall into the Austin Community College Highland Campus – a nearly decade-long effort of renovations, adaptive reuse, and new construction, and 44 East Avenue – his first high-rise residential project, where he contributed from initial planning through completion. In 2023, Chris was named to the Building Design + Construction’s 40 Under 40 list, recognizing both his professional achievements and community leadership.
Chris is also dedicated to giving back. For nearly a decade, he has organized the Flintco Austin Charity Golf Tournament, raising funds for local nonprofits. Among the many nonprofits supported, Community First Village stands out to him for its mission of addressing chronic homelessness in Austin. “Everybody needs a helping hand at some point,” Chris said. “There’s always a need for somebody in the community.”
Born and raised in Texas, Chris and his wife – his college sweetheart from Texas Tech – live in Austin with their daughter, two golden doodles, and a cat. Chris is a lifelong Austin FC supporter, enjoys golf, indoor soccer, traveling with his family, and cheering on his daughter at school and sporting events. Each summer, they make it a tradition to explore a new destination, with Hawaii topping the list so far – though their first family trip to Europe may soon take its place.
