Matthew Petersen
Director de Preconstrucción
Matt Petersen channels his passion for sustainability and innovation into his role as Preconstruction Manager. With nearly a decade of experience in residential and utility-scale solar, Matt plays a pivotal role in planning and estimating projects that pave the way for operational success.
Matt’s career in renewables stems from his academic background in physics, which he pursued at the University of Colorado with the dream of revolutionizing solar module manufacturing. After earning his degree in 2015, he worked as an engineer in residential solar for four years before transitioning to utility-scale projects. To date, he has contributed to the delivery of more than 11 gigawatts of clean energy.
A sustainability enthusiast, Matt envisions a world powered by renewable energy. He hopes to see the industry evolve into a dominant force in energy generation, displacing fossil fuels and fostering a more sustainable future for humanity. His long-term goal is to design fully integrated renewable energy plants that combine solar, wind, battery storage, and hydrogen technologies.
Outside of work, Matt is passionate about land stewardship and dreams of building an off-grid, fully sustainable home. His dedication to renewable energy reflects his belief in leaving the planet better than he found it.
