PROJECT DETAILS

Outpatient Health Facility

Designed to serve Cherokee Nation citizens for generations, the center delivers comprehensive, patient-focused care in a modern setting. The Cherokee Nation Tahlequah Outpatient Health Center is the largest health center operated by any Native tribe in the country. The four-story facility features 240 exam rooms, two MRI machines, specialty clinics with cardiac, pulmonary, and renal services, and an ambulatory surgical center housing five surgical suites and two endoscopy suites. Additional clinical spaces include a dental clinic with 34 chairs, eye care, audiology testing, diagnostic imaging, and expandable areas for rehabilitation, behavioral health, and wellness services. A dramatic central atrium anchors the building and features a custom spiral staircase connecting all four levels, installed through a temporary opening in the exterior curtain wall.
