Vice President / Market Leader
“The executive leadership across our greater enterprise agrees with the need and our approach to addressing the growing urgency around delivering more nationwide renewable energy production at scale,” said Steve Eikanger, President of Flintco. “Flintco has the construction management expertise and the ability to self-perform much of the work nationally, which is part of our competitive advantage. With Rob on board and leading the way, we are in a strong position to meet our 5-year projections for Flintco Renewable Energy. Flintco has a strong balance sheet with no debt, exceptional bonding capacity, and a best-in-class safety record. Developers seeking potential financing and a reliable construction partner will benefit from Flintco’s reputation, capacity, and relationships within the Construction industry.”
Marchetti’s work in Construction and Energy spans more than 25 years, including the previous 15 years working exclusively in renewable energy as an executive and company founder with expertise in origination and acquisition of new facilities, operations, and maintenance. Marchetti is a licensed Journeyman electrician and has led Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) teams while completing one of the largest solar plants in Texas safely and on schedule. Marchetti said Flintco’s move into utility-scale solar construction coincides with changes in federal and state public policy mandating future reductions in the use of fossil fuels, and consistent advances in technology that make renewable energy capture and battery storage more efficient and reliable.
“We’ve known for a long time the Sun and our natural resources are powerful and readily available,” Marchetti said. He points to a quote attributed to the renowned American inventor and businessman Thomas Alva Edison as a source of inspiration for himself and Flintco in helping to expand clean power generation throughout the United States: “We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature’s inexhaustible source of energy – Sun, wind, and tide. I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.”
Throughout its more than 100-year history, Flintco has continued to grow and evolve through pursuit of continuous improvement in all facets of the business. At its core, Flintco is a solutions-driven enterprise. Flintco Renewable Energy is the latest example of the company’s willingness and ability to invest and respond successfully to unforeseen market-driven events or adapt to rapidly changing environmental conditions.
