Phil & Karen Hunke Special Care Clinic

The Special Care Clinic at University of Texas at San Antonio  Dentistry’s Center for Oral Health Care & Research is the first academic clinic in South Texas dedicated to patients with cognitive and physical disabilities. Designed for accessibility and comfort, the facility features 12 private treatment rooms, five sedation-capable rooms, wheelchair accommodations, a multi-sensory room with a bubble wall, and 14 dental chair stations, including six surgical stations. The clinic not only delivers comprehensive dental care but also provides interdisciplinary training for students, residents, and community dentists.
