FM Coating and Applications Booth

The FM Paint Lab Expansion is a complex addition and renovation impacting not only the Paint Lab but also critical operations throughout the existing FM building. Work extends beyond the lab footprint to support hydronic piping and other MEP tie-ins, along with roof and north exterior modifications. Key project challenges include carefully sequenced selective demolition, coordinated MEP shutdowns and tie-ins, and structural steel installation to support the new makeup air unit (MUA). Extensive selective demolition encompassed structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems and was executed in multiple phases to maintain ongoing operations.
