Houston, Texas, March 31, 2025 – Target Hunger, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in Northeast and East Houston, celebrated the groundbreaking of its headquarters renovation project alongside Pin Oaks Interests, Flintco, and Page. The ceremony marked the beginning of an ambitious transformation that will significantly expand service to vulnerable communities throughout the Houston area.

Working alongside Pin Oak Interests and Page Architects, Flintco will oversee the comprehensive modernization of the facility, including warehouse expansion, second-floor office renovations, education center upgrades, and site improvements such as enhanced parking and detention ponds. Flintco’s expertise in phased construction and operational continuity will allow Target Hunger to maintain its essential food distribution services throughout the renovation.

The expanded warehouse space will feature improved logistics capabilities to expedite food distribution operations, while the modernized office space will enhance collaborative efforts among staff and volunteers. The upgraded education center will provide dedicated space for community programs and training initiatives, reinforcing Target Hunger’s comprehensive approach to addressing food insecurity.

“Our Flintco Houston team is deeply invested in living our company ethos: ‘We will positively contribute to our culture and community,’ and we are proud to have partnered with Target Hunger for the past five years,” said Joel Lester, Flintco Vice President and Area Manager. “What makes Target Hunger exceptional is that they not only provide healthy, sustainable nutrition to those in need but also connect their clients with essential medical resources and employment opportunities. By transforming this facility, we’re helping transform lives, and we are truly honored to be part of such meaningful work.”

The renovated headquarters will also feature enhanced safety measures and infrastructure improvements, ensuring continuous service delivery even during emergencies and natural disasters. These upgrades reflect Target Hunger’s commitment to providing reliable support to the community in times of greatest need.

The project, scheduled for completion in Q4 2025 represents a significant investment in Houston’s food security infrastructure and demonstrates the power of partnership between nonprofit organizations and the private sector.
