Tulsa, Oklahoma, February 12, 2026 – Flintco, in partnership with the City of Coweta and BKL, Inc., has broken ground on two major public safety projects that will significantly enhance the city’s emergency response capabilities.
Funded through the voter-approved “One for Coweta” one-cent sales tax initiative, the $17.5 million combined investment will deliver modern, purpose-built facilities designed to serve the community for the next 50 years and beyond.
Police Headquarters: A Modern Command Center
The new 12,800 SF police headquarters will replace a nearly century-old facility and provide space for 26 officers, dispatchers, code enforcement, and animal control personnel. The building is designed to improve operational efficiency and public service through a modern E911 Center, secure evidence and records storage, upgraded holding areas, and dedicated office space that supports collaboration and workflow.
Fire Station: Built for Growth
After years of planning—and two and a half years operating out of a temporary mobile facility due to mold issues in the 1985-era station—the Coweta Fire Department will move into a permanent station located near Coweta High School.
Designed to support both current needs and future growth, the facility will accommodate 10 firefighters per shift and four administrative staff. Features include covered ambulance bays, private offices, enhanced training areas, digital displays, and advanced alert systems that provide real-time information to crews, helping improve response times and safety.
