PROJECT DETAILS

Washington on the Brazos Museum

This historic renovation reimagines the Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site to deliver an immersive, cohesive visitor experience across 293 acres of parkland. New brick entrance gates introduce a unified journey through updated gallery exhibits, outdoor interpretive elements, and high-tech interactive displays that bring the events of March 2, 1836 to life. Enhancements connect the Visitor Center, Star of theRepublic Museum, Washington Town Site, and conference center—deepening engagement with Texas’ path to independence while enriching educational, community, and retreat experiences.
