St. Anthony Hospital Surgery Center

With the Denver area being the sixth-fastest-growing economy in the nation, St. Anthony Hospital embarked on a quest to meet the needs of the community they serve. To increase the capacity of the hospital’s ambulatory surgery services, an entirely new outpatient surgery center was built in an underutilized space within the existing hospital. Several existing departments were relocated in order to make way for this project including five sleep rooms, the infusion center, neurology services, some administrative areas and Flight for Life spaces, including pilot’s quarters, offices, conference rooms, and communications hub. Once the programs were relocated, demolition of the outpatient clinics, administrative space and Flight for Life made way for 5 Operating Rooms, 3 Endo/Bronch Procedure Rooms, 22 Prep Recovery/PACU bays, and associated support space, including a new elevator.
