Modeled after an open-lab, flexible space concept, this facility allows undergraduate and graduate students to work side-by-side with university and private-sector researchers. It houses research groups in the life sciences and includes a vivarium for small rodent research BSL-1 and BSL-2 research labs. A cleanroom provides research and development facility space for microfluidic (or lab-on-chip) devices.
