Flintco Earns Consecutive National Pinnacle Safety Award

TULSA, OK, February 28, 2025 – Flintco has once again been recognized for its unwavering commitment to safety, receiving the prestigious 2024 Pinnacle National Safety Excellence Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the 35th annual Excellence in Construction® Awards in Las Vegas, NV. This marks the second consecutive year Flintco has earned this distinguished honor, underscoring the company’s relentless dedication to fostering a culture of safety and excellence in the construction industry.

“Flintco exhibits an unrelenting commitment to jobsite safety that should be celebrated and honored,” said 2025 Chair of the ABC National Board of Directors David Pugh, a partner at Bradley in Birmingham, Alabama. “The leadership and employees at Flintco make a daily choice to create a culture that refuses to compromise on safety, relentlessly ensuring every employee leaves the jobsite in the same or better condition every day. Thank you to these safety leaders for the example they set for this industry.”

This award reflects Flintco’s deeply ingrained philosophy: genuine care for people and the environment, coupled with a vision to empower individuals at every level to prioritize safety proactively. Key initiatives such as the Flintco 4 LIFE program (Live Incident Free Everyday), the implementation of positive safety notices, and the Flintco Trade Partner Portal, which has facilitated more than 38,000 safety orientations since 2022, all contribute to this commitment. Additionally, voluntary participation by trade partners in Flintco’s weekly safety calls has grown to more than 16,770 since 2020, reinforcing safety as a shared priority across all job sites.

Continuing to push industry standards, Flintco mandates ANSI Type II or EN12492 safety helmets for all on-site personnel. The company also leverages SmartTagIt technology for video pre-planning, allowing everyone to contribute in their native language, fostering inclusivity and increased productivity during critical tasks.

Further demonstrating its leadership in safety advocacy, Flintco produced The Shortcut – A Story of Survival, a powerful mini-documentary based on a true story of a near fatal accident that happened outside of Flintco, which highlights the importance of adhering to safety best practices and avoiding shortcuts in the workplace. The Shortcut is available on YouTube in both Spanish and English.
