PROJECT DETAILS

District Cooling Plant #3

Downtown District Cooling Plant #3 (DCP3) adds 10,000 tons of reliable cooling capacity with four 2,500-ton water-cooled chillers and nine cooling tower cells. The project strengthens the city’s district energy infrastructure while supporting commercial and residential users. Self-performed work includes concrete foundations, vertical structures, elevated decks, duct banks, conduit, and manholes. In coordination with Union Pacific Railroad, the team installs a 200-foot conduit tunnel beneath active tracks using a jack-and-bore method, ensuring safe, efficient utility routing. Every element is designed to deliver dependable cooling while minimizing disruption to the surrounding community.
