Oklahoma City, OK, June 11, 2025Flintco, in partnership with the Oklahoma State Fair, City of Oklahoma City, Populous, and the Oklahoma City metropolitan community, proudly announces the grand opening of the new MAPS 4 OG&E Coliseum. This state-of-the-art facility represents the culmination of years of collaborative efforts between public and private partners, all united by a shared vision to enhance Oklahoma City’s cultural and economic landscape. This facility will replace the legendary Jim Norrick Arena, which has served the OKC Fairgrounds for 60 years.

The new coliseum exemplifies what can be achieved when a community comes together with a common purpose. Through the innovative MAPS 4 initiative, Oklahoma City residents invested in their future, and Flintco was honored to serve as the construction partner in bringing this vision to life.

“This project represents the spirit of collaboration that makes Oklahoma City special,” said Flintco President Dave Kollmann. “Building a facility to serve families, athletes, performers, and visitors for generations is exciting. We’re incredibly proud to have worked alongside the city and community stakeholders to deliver a venue that truly reflects Oklahoma City’s aspirations.”

The OG&E Coliseum is a multi-purpose venue capable of hosting some of the most prestigious equine events in the world, including the American Quarter Horse Show and the Morgan Horse Show. It also hosts the Oklahoma Youth Expo, the State Fair of Oklahoma, and numerous youth sports events. The facility’s flexible design ensures it can adapt to the diverse needs of Oklahoma City’s growing population while providing an economic catalyst for the surrounding area.

As a trusted partner in Oklahoma City’s transformation through multiple MAPS initiatives, Flintco has been privileged to contribute to the city’s remarkable growth story. The OG&E Coliseum is a gathering place where Oklahoma City’s past, present, and future converge, continuing the legacy of community investment that has made Oklahoma City a destination for families, businesses, and visitors.
