New Public Works Campus Strengthens Essential Services for Growing City of Manvel

Jun 22 2026

As one of the fastest-growing communities in the Houston region, the City of Manvel is experiencing increasing demand for the infrastructure and services that support daily life. To help meet those demands and prepare for future growth, the city has invested in a new 21,000 SF Public Works Campus designed to strengthen operations, improve efficiency, and support the essential services residents rely on every day.

The City of Manvel, PGAL, and Flintco gathered to celebrate the grand opening / ribbon-cutting for the new campus, marking the completion of a facility built for the teams responsible for maintaining the city’s streets, drainage systems, utilities, and fleet operations.

The new campus brings administrative offices, fleet maintenance, equipment storage, and operational functions together on a single site designed specifically for public works activities. The facility includes an 8,000 SF administrative building and a 13,000 SF maintenance shop, replacing facilities that could no longer adequately support the city’s growing service demands.

“Growth creates opportunity, but it also increases the demands placed on the infrastructure and services that support a community,” said Joel Lester, Vice President and Area Manager at Flintco. “Public works teams are at the center of meeting those demands, maintaining the systems that residents and businesses rely on every day. We’re proud to help deliver a facility that supports those teams and positions the City of Manvel to serve its growing community well into the future.”

This investment reflects the city’s broader commitment to ensuring public infrastructure keeps pace with growth while maintaining the responsiveness and reliability residents expect from municipal services.
